Homerville, GA Mrs. Lula Odelle Young Lee, 84, passed away Wednesday, Mar. 7, 2012, at her daughter’s residence, following an extended illness. Mrs. Lee was born Jan. 25, 1928, in Fargo, GA, to the late Albert Young and Lula Register Young. She was a retired from Empire Bank as a teller, had worked as a nurse for Dr. A.I. Robbins and was a member of the New Pine Grove Southern Congregational Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnnie Wilson Lee, two sons, Truman Lee and Allen Lee. Survivors are one daughter: Janice Carmichael, Manor; one son & special friend: Donald Lee & Sheila Oglesby, Homerville, GA; two daughters-in-law: Jeanee Gilbert, Homerville and Martha Lee, Pearson: one sister: Brunell Barlow, Waycross; 13 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and several other relatives. Services for Mrs. Lee will be held Saturday, Mar. 10, 2012, at two o’clock from the New Pine Grove Southern Congregational Methodist Church. Internment will be in the Camp Branch Providence Cemetery, Manor, GA. Visitation will be held Friday, Mar. 9, 2012 from 6 until 8 p.m. at Roundtree Funeral Home. Mrs. Lee will be carried to the church one hour prior to the services. Roundtree Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
