Homerville, GA Mrs. Adice Hutchison Thompson, 88, passed away Friday, Feb. 17, 2012, at her residence following an extended illness. Mrs. Thompson was born Sept. 19, 1923, in Douglas, GA, to the late Melton Hutchison and Lillie Agnes Joyner Hutchison. She was a homemaker, and a member of the Shiloh Southern Congregational Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by two sons: Charles Stephenson and Clifford Thompson and a sister Dorothy Hutchison Williams Sellars. Survivors are six daughters and sons-in-law: Donna Fay & Jack Mefford, Brunswick, GA, Mary Frances & John Carlton Davis, Homerville, Lillie Mae & Lester Davis, Axson, Betty Ann & Lewis Bennett, Argyle, Jeanette & David Morgan and Katie Ruth Griffis, Homerville; two sons: H. L. Thompson and Joseph Thompson, both of Homerville, GA; three brothers: John Hardy Hutchison, Lake City, FL, Oaias Hutchison, Albany, GA and Asa Hutchison, Putney, GA; 27 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 7 great great grandchildren and several other relatives. Services for Mrs. Thompson will be held Monday, Feb. 20, 2012, at one o’clock from the Shiloh Southern Congregational Methodist Church. Internment will be in the Victory Church Cemetery, Manor. Visitation will be held Sunday, Feb. 19, 2012 from 6 until 8 p.m. at the Shiloh Southern Congregational Methodist Church.
