Homerville, GA Mr. Wallace Edward “Walley” Turner, 55, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2012, at his residence, following an extended illness. Mr. Turner was born Feb. 4, 1957, in Homerville, to Mrs. Lillian Gunter Turner, Homerville and the late Wallace Eugene Turner. He had worked for Lee Engineering and several other companies as a construction worker and was a member of the Lighthouse Assembly of God. He was preceded in death by one brother, Joey Turner. Survivors other than his mother; are two sisters and brothers-in-law: Judy & Brent Hoopiiaina and Polly & Chuck Reddick, all of Homerville; eight nieces & nephews, Amber Walton, Jeb & Jamie Turner, Seth & Kristen Walton, Chris Hoopiiaina, Gunter Hoopiiaina, Nick & Ellie Hoopiiaina, Darrah & Tate Hodges and Stefan & Claire Reddick; several great nieces & nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, special friend, Pam Pilgrim, special cousin, Kim Lee, and several other relatives. Services for Mr. Turner will be held Sunday, Feb. 12, 2012, at eleven o’clock from the Lighthouse Assembly of God. Internment will be in the Pine Forest Cemetery. Visitation will be held Saturday, Feb. 11, 2011 from 6 until 8 p.m. at Roundtree Funeral Home. Roundtree Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
