Ray "Buddy" Parker

Homerville, GA Mr. Ray “Buddy” Parker, 73, passed away Monday, Jan.2, 2012, in the South Georgia Medical Center, Valdosta, GA. Mr. Parker was born Nov. 10, 1938, in Perry, FL to the late, Raymond Parker and Ruth Tomlinson Parker. He was a member of the masons and was retired from the Clinch County Board of Education as the Transportation Supervisor. He was preceded in death by his wife, Phylis N. “Nickie” Parker. Survivors are four daughters: Karlyn White, Homerville, Diana Reeves, Hahira, Judy Smith, Covington, GA and Becky Hall, Hahira; three sisters: Faye Langley and Sandra Collins, Palatka, FL and Barbara Hull, Hamlet, NC; one brother: Larry Parker, Palatka, FL; 10 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, and several other relatives. Services for Mr. Parker will be held Thursday, Jan. 5, 2012, at two o’clock from the Arabia Primitive Baptist Church. Internment will be in the Arabia Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2012 from 6 until 8 p.m. at Roundtree Funeral Home. Roundtree Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
