Homerville, GA Mr. Adolphus Callaway Lee, 80, passed away Tuesday, October 11, 2011, in the Langdale Hospice House, Valdosta, GA, following an extended illness. Mr. Lee was born July 30, 1931 in DuPont, GA, to the late Adolphus Dakota Lee and Callie Mae Futch Lee. He had lived in Live Oak, FL, before moving back to Georgia. He graduated from the University of Georgia and was a soil conservationist for Pioneer Seed Company. Mr. Lee was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force serving during the Korean Conflict and was a member of the DuPont Baptist Church. Survivors are two sisters: Betty Ruth Lee Mull and Jane Lee, both of DuPont; two brothers: J. Donald Lee, Homerville and Terry Lee, Quitman; two nieces and husbands: Eve & Bill Murray and Layne & Robert Varnedoe, all of Homerville; great nieces & nephews: Laura Lee & Danny Smith, Joel Varnedoe and John Varnedoe, all of Homerville; great great nieces & nephews: J. D Smith, Callie Laurelle Smith and Sam Smith, all of Homerville and several other relatives. Services for Mr. Lee will be held Saturday, October 15, 2011 at two o’clock from the Homerville First Baptist Church. Internment will be in the North Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday, October 14, 2011 from 6 until 8 p.m. at Roundtree Funeral Home. Mr. Lee will be carried to the church one hour prior to the services. Roundtree Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
