Fargo, GA Mr. Samuel Arden Griffis, 75, passed away Sunday, July 8, 2007 in the Clinch Memorial Hospital, following an extended illness. Mr. Griffis was born December 11, 1931, in Fargo, to the late Elemuel and Alice Howell Griffis. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving during the Korean Conflict. He had worked for RCA installing missile tracking stations before moving back to Fargo as the campground operator for the Lem Griffis Fish Camp. Survivors are one brother and sister-in-law: E. A. & Dorothy Griffis, Fargo; one sister and brother-in-law: Maldine & George Barnhill, St. Simons Island, GA; several nieces and nephews and other relatives. Services for Mr. Griffis will be held Wednesday, July 11, 2007 at eleven o’clock from the chapel of Roundtree Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Pine Forest Cemetery.
