Allen Nicholas Griffis

Pearson, GA Mr. Allen Nicholas Griffis, 71, passed away Monday, Sept. 19, 2011, at his residence following a short illness. Mr. Griffis was born Jan. 30, 1940, in Homerville, GA to the late Samuel Leland Griffis and LuMae Pittman Griffis. He was a retired log truck driver for C & M Logging Company. Survivors are one daughter & son-in-law: Scarlet Diane & Jerry Riggins, Pearson; two sons & daughters-in-law: Jessie Leland & Colleen Griffis, Pearson and Charles Allen & Melissa Joy Griffis, Millwood; two sisters: Minnie Jean Kelly, Valdosta and Willie Mae Saylor, MacClenny, FL; ten grandchildren, four great grandchildren and several other relatives.. Services for Mr. Griffis will be held Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2011 at two o’clock from the Lighthouse Assembly of God. Internment will be in the Ramah Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, Sept. 21, 2011 from 6 until 8 p.m. at Roundtree Funeral Home. Roundtree Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
