JOHN FRANKLIN CORBITT November 11, 1941 – September 13, 2011 Manor, GA Mr. John Franklin Corbitt, 69, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 13, 2011, in the Wayne Memorial Hospital, Jesup, GA, Mr. Corbitt was born November 11, 1941 in Ware County, to the late Rufus Lee Corbitt and Nell Harrell Corbitt. He was retired from Scapa Industries as a weaver. He was preceded in death by one sister, Ava Nell Royals. Survivors are one daughter: Angie Corbitt, Decatur, AL; one son & daughter-in-law: Therrn & Beth Corbitt, Trinity, AL; one brother& sister-in-law: Donnie & Mary Corbitt, Alabama; one brother-in-law: Lawton Royals, Waycross; special friends: J.D. & Mary Mixon, Manor; five grandchildren, one great grandchild and several other relatives. Services for Mr. Corbitt will be held Friday, Sept. 16, 2011, at eleven o’clock from the Zenith Baptist Church, Manor. Interment will be in the Oakland Cemetery, Waycross. Visitation will be Thursday, Sept. 15, 2011 from 6 til 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Corbitt will be carried to the church one hour prior to the services. Roundtree Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
