Woodrow Brown King

Homerville, GA Mr. Woodrow Brown King, 92, passed away Friday, September 2, 2011 in the Clinch Memorial Hospital, following an extended illness. Mr. King was born March 21, 1919 in Wilcox County, GA to the late Ed Preston King and Annie Belle Miller King. He was retired from Brockway Standard as the Safety Manager, was a member of the New Vision Church of God and was a veteran of the U. S. Coast Guard. He was preceded in death by his wife, Inez Denmark King, one grandson, two brothers and two sisters. Survivors are one daughter: Irvena King Giffin, Jennings, FL; two sons: Albert Daniel King, Lake City, FL and Preston Timothy King, Flovilla, GA, three sisters, Louvenia K. Harrison and Lyndal K. Ganas, both of Cario and Alice Cordelia K. Zeigler, Cecil, GA; five grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and several other relatives. Services for Mr. King will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, Sept. 5, 2011 at the graveside in Pine Forest Cemetery. Visitation will be held Saturday, Sept. 3, 2011 from 5 until 7 p.m. at Roundtree Funeral Home. Roundtree Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
