Homerville , GA Mr. Robert Edwin “Buddy” Sorrells, 66, passed away Sunday, June 17, 2007, at his residence, following an extended illness. Mr. Sorrells was born October 23, 1940, in Waycross , GA , to the late Lee Andrew Sorrells & Ruby Barfield Sorrells. He was a yard truck driver for Dollar General Warehouse, an attendant of Shiloh Southern Congregational Methodist Church and a Veteran of the United States Navy, having served during the Vietnam War. Mr. Sorrells was preceded in death by his brother: Lee Arthur Sorrells. Survivors are one daughter & son-in-law: Lea & Jerome Ellis, of Homerville; one son: Andrew Jackson “Andy” Mills, of Homerville; three sisters & two brothers-in-law: Francine Moxley, Helen & Johnny Stanley, all of Macon , GA , and Faye & James Wilson, of Gray , GA ; two grandsons: Brad Ellis & Trevor Ellis, both of Homerville; and several other nieces and nephews. Services for Mr. Sorrells will be held Wednesday, June 20, 2007, at eleven o’clock, from the Shiloh Southern Congregational Methodist Church. Officiating will be Rev. Keith Chauncey. Internment will be at the Shiloh Southern Congregational Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday Evening, at the Roundtree Funeral Home Chapel, from 6pm till 8 pm. Mr. Sorrells will be carried to the church one hour prior to the services. Roundtree Funeral Home is serving the Sorrells family.
