Mary Alice Mills

Manor, GA Mrs. Mary Alice Smithie Mills, 65, passed away Sunday, July 31, 2011, in the South Georgia Medical Center, Valdosta, GA. Mrs. Mills was born June 24, 1946, in Hahira, GA to Mrs. Ola Mae Baldree Harper, Homerville and the late Emory Smithie. She was retired from Lee Container working in quality control. She had attended the Church of God and was preceded in death by one brother, Charlie Smithie. Survivors other than her mother, are her husband: Charles Clifford Mills, Manor; one daughter: Melanie Hallmark, Lynchburg, VA; one son & daughter-in-law: Charles Leonard & Eva Mills, Manor; three sisters: Dorothy O’Berry, Nancy Waldorn and Virginia Lovett, all of Manor; six grandchildren: Crystal White, Port City, FL, Marion Smith, Homerville, Charles Clifford Mills, II, Manor, Katy Hallmark, Mackenzi Hallmark and Teralyn Hallmark, all of Stafford, VA; five great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and other relatives. Services for Mrs. Mills will be held Wednesday, August 3, 2011 at ten o’clock from the New Prospect United Methodist Church in Manor. Internment will be in the New Prospect Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday, Aug. 2, 2011 from 6 until 8 p.m. at Roundtree Funeral Home. Mrs. Mills will be carried to the church one hour prior to the services. Roundtree Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
